    I do agree that it is important to be active on your blog. If you are not active then you will not get the traffic there. Make sure that it is interesting content and update it often.

    I think the answer is much more complicated than a quick 2 sentence paragraph. How you get your site on the first page of Google is the subject of thousands of websites and blogs, and thousands of dollars are spent by many website owners annually to try to achieve this.
