    Sellers not allowed to use "Guaranteed" in sales thread ... unless they actually offer one.

    I have seen many services that state "Guaranteed" in their sales listing but then they don't offer any type of official guarantee.
    It seems a little misleading to Buyers.
    I think it should be made a rule that you can only use certain words if you offer a guarantee and that it is displayed including the terms, in the sales description.

    I hope you know how "official guaranty" work. I guaranty every of my works and don't use "official guaranty" because of scammers, they would use it to get money back even when you provide TOP job...

    During the time Facebook Likes was still allowed, I found a few services offering a guarantee stating something like:

    "Seller guarantees 100% Real likes or 10% money back" etc. In my opinion, that's quite garbage. (Not my intention to offend anyone.)
    First of all, most people don't provide REAL likes and IF they actually do, what's 10%..? It's dirt.

    However, most people are using the guarantee-thingy to get more attention to their services. It's more likely they'll get sales if they offer guarantees and you can even browse guarantee-only services on the marketplace. So it's a nice little "trick" to bring more potential clients to your service.

    Secondly, if you offer a 100% money-back guarantee, or anything above 10% or 15%.. It would actually hurt your business because this is where scammers come in. They purchase your service and use your guarantee to get their money back. Even if they're actually satisfied with your service.

    So, what would you do to avoid the risk of being scammed?

    There's nothing you can do. Scammers and being scammed are quite common in anything business related. But it goes both ways. The sellers are taking a risk of being scammed. They put in lots of work and get nothing back. Buyers on the other hand, are risking their money.

    That's my own service. I offer a 35% money-back guarantee. I would surely end up losing money if people used my money-back guarantee to get money back, but I personally believe that I still benefit from offering one. And why..?

    First of all, like previously stated. Offering a guarantee will get you more attention. More attention = more potential clients.
    Secondly, even IF my clients used the money-back guarantee I'd still earn 65% of the money which is something I feel that I can afford every now and then. ( and can reject the client in the future )

    I personally believe that offering 35% money-back instead of 10% for instance, makes people more willing to purchase my service. It's a confidence-thing. I believe my service are worth the money and I know that buyers will benefit from using it, therefore, a higher guarantee makes people trust me, even if they don't know me. Because it shows that I believe in my own services.

    I would obviously benefit even more from a 100% money-back guarantee, but my service involves manual work only and I can't risk being scammed on all the money by having such a guarantee because there's always that one fish in the pond, and that fish would hurt my business too much.

    All this said, I would never complete a service and make the buyer pay for something they're not satisfied with. Guarantee or not. That will lead to negative feedback which will hurt my business more than offering those clients their money back. At least in the long run.

    I agree that the official guarantee can be abused, have seen many sellers offer ridiculous guarantees.

    I hope you know how "official guaranty" work. I guaranty every of my works and don't use "official guaranty" because of scammers, they would use it to get money back even when you provide TOP job...


    I accept that, in any market there may be some scammers, I got some problems with them several times. So I do not offer official guaranty. However I will always do not hesitate to do full refund if they are genuine on that.

    I think that a 100% satisfaction guarantee is really important these days.

    I have found that if you truly go out of your way to build an immense amount of value and provide the highest level of customer support then there will be very little people who actually request a refund when they are actually satisfied.

    Its the same concept as serial refunders on other marketplaces that offer a no questions asked guarantee (think clickbank).

    But I am so confident in my service, and I want my buyers to all be 100% satisfied. That's why I offer a no questions asked 100% refund guarantee. I know that the benefit far outways the risks.

    If your providing a service that is of high value, and priced reasonably, then there should be nothing to worry about with offering a strong guarantee.

    Yeah, I currently offer 100% refunds if I don't deliver my services as described. I feel more comfortable and my buyers are reassured.

    different strokes for different folks. some will go for 100% guarantee, some wont give it, while some will give it low. whichever it all depends on the seller and what he offers. but to me, since most of my job involves manual work, i don't really give it a 100% guarantee due to fake buyers who can use it to get their cash back very easily. but i will try to deliver a good job for my buyers that they wil be 100% satisfied and not think of getting thier cash back.
