Get out the pen and a piece of paper and write out what interests you, then narrow it down. Then focus on goals to reach.     You need to come up with the site niche or topic before you even install the Wordpress or article directory theme, otherwise you will only have an empty shell. As for what your site could be, look around at what other sites have to offer in a niche you are currently involved in. See what they are doing and ask yourself if you could improve on that idea.
