    Surprisingly, this Blog.com is not more popular than Blogger, despite it's very memorable domain name. I have not used this site for a blog and likely would not as I have one of my own already. But, if you were starting out with blogging, this would be ideal.

    I don't like using blogs not located on my own hosting as they are likely to be shut down, on a whim by the person who owns the site.

    I have heard of Blog.com, however, I have never tried this free blogging platform. I have tried free blogging with wordpress, blogspot and weebly. I left my free blogs to create a self hosted blog. By the way, what kind of monetization methods are available for Blog. Does it allow adsnse or other ad networks?

    It is nice to hear that there are other free blogging platforms that we can use. Our blog is on Blogger although we get suggestions to shift to Wordpress because it is easier to manage. But we have no time for that and our blog is not very active anyway. With Blog dot com I guess you have to be monitoring the traffic that you can get and the speed of display of the blogs.
