Do I really need a blog?

I have a personal blog and a business blog that I update about my job. But, I don't really like blogging much as I can't think of a niche to blog about. Most of my hobbies are surrounding my job, so if anything I would just be blogging about things to do with my job or related subjects. I would prefer to add content to other sites such as Facebook if that's possible. Would this ever replace the need for a blog?

I, too have blogs.
Instead of blogging regularly, I only blog when I feel the need. If you put way too much emphasis on one particular thing, it can become dull, monotonous, and extremely mundane! To avoid this, contribute to other places to get your name out, then write on your blogs when you FEEL it.

Write where and when you feel comfortable. For some people, it might be easier to blog on Tumblr or Facebook or Google+, rather than an actual blog. The advantage of blogging on a social network is how you have a built in audience.

The blog is unique in a way that it is not only a source to make your writings reach the targeted audience, but it is also a source of income for those that have gone far and become popular with it. So, there is always the need to own a blog for no social media will ever get to replace that.

I think a blog would help you monetize your time spent on. writing that way it might be a motivating factor to keep you writing but with Facebook nothing comes out of it apart from the usual chat.

I think it would be better one blogs and make some earnings from it and to achieve this, you definitely need a blog.

Your posts on social media are temporal in nature., Your social media posts are buried under the feeds. However, your blog posts are on the internet as long as your site is hosted and you do not delete the post. On social media, there is a limitation on what you can write and share. However, you can write your personal story or informative content on social media. You can even monetize your blog and make money. If you continue to write and publish your blogs, one day you will thank yourself for making the right decision to maintain your blog.

This is a good point, social media wouldn't give one the needed space to really express one's self like a blog that one can really have his or her content in one place.I think it better that way and readers would always follow up the posts or get all the information easily unlike social media that one part of the post or information might be lost because of others post on one timeline.

When I was invited to submit a guest post for a blog, I was hesitant until I realized that I would be writing for a niche that I love. When I agreed, what’s on my mind was the self-expression with the joy of saying what I want. If my office job did not intervene, I would probably still writing for that blog. And even if I sometimes hit the so called wall or writer’s block, it wouldn’t take long for a new idea to pop up on my head simply because I love the niche. And since you say you are not comfortable in blogging, I suggest that you quit blogging. It will only give you stress.
