How often do you visit your forum?

If you are a forum owner, is it necessary to visit your forum every day?

Do you hang out on your own forum all day or do you come and go at different times?

I believe that if you own a forum it is always best to visit on a daily basis, it shows initiative and it shows that you are eager to see your forum thrive. I enjoy going on forums that I frequent daily and seeing that owners of the forum have been active, it shows that they really are passionate about their forum and that they really are interested in keeping it active.

I wouldn't say that I hang out on my forum all day but I do have the tab open whilst I am working on other things on the PC and I do periodically click and refresh to show myself and post as well to show that I am an active owner and I feel like members like seeing that, they like to know that if they need help around the forum or if they wish to contact you they have the ability to do so and you will get back to them and that is always good practice when wanting a successful forum.

Why not,one should visit his or her investment daily.Why would users visit everyday and owner visit let say once in a month,it doesn't make sense.one should login his forum at least once a day.

It’s not only a visit by the forum owner but to stay in the forum like living in it. I have seen how new forums have struggled in making the community grow. The admin/owner was always present and continually joining topics. You can perhaps relax a bit if the community is comfortably large and you have trusted moderators. But if not then you have to be on your toes and your presence in your forum is a must.
