    Are there any risks with whitehat?

    Whitehat is the safe way to SEO. I know this but want to know if there are any risks associated with whitehat.

    No. You said it yourself. Is the safest way to SEO, actually search engines will love you for this and you will never get in trouble if you play by the rules.

    The risk of whitehat I think is you will be in the slow progress. Although gurus say it will be a sure and safe way, it sure will spend lots of your time.

    No whitehat methods are always safe,they are not at all risky...This method is actually approved by all the big search engines...i.e google and yahoo.

    Everything comes with a risk and nothing in life is guaranteed except death and taxes. Even doing white hat SEO doesn't guarantee that it will improve your SERP ranking. But it's much less riskier than doing bh SEO as that comes with a lot of risks and it's the risk of getting a manual web spam penalty applied to your site and if that happens, it will mean you'll have to put the work in to reverse it and clean up that mess. For that reason alone, it's just too risky to do bh SEO on a site you care a lot about if you don't want to get a penalty later on down the road.

    From what I understand with the term white hat it is the legitimate SEO method that a site owner can do in order to get traffic and also to increase the ranking of his site with the search engines. My idea of white had method is the uploading of quality content which is unique and not copied in part or in whole from another site and should be relevant to the niche.
