How many admin/mods for a new forum?

With a new forum, you'll have fewer threads and posts to moderate, so you might not need many moderators. However, it would be useful to have at least one admin to help manage the behind the scenes aspects of your forum. How many mods/admins and staff writers do you need when you start a new forum?

If you are not going to be actively managing your forum and just leaving it up to staff, then you will need many more moderators and admins for a new forums. You will want to ensure plenty of staff writers to help create new content for the forum or else your subforums will be empty.

Your admins or mods will help you write discussions for the forum and be more personally invested in the site's well being and health than an average member. For this reason, you should hire as many people as you can to start with and then try to get a higher number of forum members to balance it out.

Will you be on the forum all the time? If not, then you will require more staff members to create the content you want. These people will help to fill your subforums with usable content that will attract your first visitors.
