What's your motivation for being a forum owner?

I love being a forum owner. It's one of the best things I've ever done and though not the easiest job, it lets me have something fun to look forward to daily. I like talking to people and interacting with the forum community and finding out new things. This is my biggest motivation for being a forum owner.

What a great question!

I've been a forum owner for approximately 6+ months now, and I must admit through all the challenges, I do enjoy it immensely! The comradery amongst others with in the community proves to be astounding. I take great pride in listening and learning from others, no matter what the circumstances. People come from a variety of different backgrounds, and just having the opportunity to read their stories and share my own experiences is a wonderful feeling. It allows you to feel empathy with your members and it provides you with the drive to keep it going!

Having a common area for people to come together regarding a wide range topics is of extreme importance!
It's therapeutic as well!

Learning from others and having real conversations is why I'm a blogger, which is similar to being a forum owner. The blog is my own space where I can communicate ideas and get feedback from others.

As I had mentioned in another discussion, I am not having a shift of attention from creating a blog to creating a forum. What I have been reading about enjoying the forum seems to be motivating me to that direction. However, I understand the efforts needed in creating a forum much more with the upkeep. As some forum owners would say, it’s one hell of a job to be an admin and owner at the same time because you are always on your toes. Well, that may be a restraining factor.
