Are recent posts viewable to guests of your forum?

If you make recent posts viewable to guests, this could be a good way to get many to sign up as posting members. It's nice to see what everyone is talking about more recently rather than having to dig through subforums to find recent content.

This would be appropriate for posts which were of a general nature. Though if you have subforums which have private info, you would not want it available so that guests could see. For those forums, simply set the privacy settings to members only.

I don't mind having some private subforums, however the subforum title should be viewable even to guests as this will be a good enticement for them to sign up, if they know there is content not viewable to guests.
