    I'm guessing a forum staff member would just move on to another forum. That's about all that can be done.

    You can't really stop to think of what will happen to others on the forum if you are shutting the forum down in an emergency. In those times, you just wish them good luck and close the doors and move on and hope they are going to do fine.
