    Think of how much time you put into the forum. If you spent a year building your forum membership (even if you only used free methods such as forum posting), you will want to recoup your time investment.

    Cost of domain and how much you spent on hosting is a big deal. All those expenses add up over the years and you won't want to be out of pocket for any of that.

    In addition to anything you might have invested into, think about what you want to earn from the forum or what it could be worth to someone else. If you have dominated a hot niche keyword, you should not let it go for cheap.
