    Read only-archive forums

    Do you periodically archive old threads and place them in a read only forum (where threads can be read but not responded to)? Do you think this is good for SEO? What are the benefits or disadvantages of archiving threads?

    An archived subforum could still be good for SEO as it provides constant ever green content that is easily searchable by both forum members and indexed by search engines.
