Has anyone tried to advertise facebook fanpage in adwords?

Hi I want to know if someone has tried to advertise a facebook fan page in google adwords? Did they accept it? And are there any conversions with this?

You can promote a Facebook Page using Google Adwords there is nothing in Google's Adwords Policy that says you cannot. But before you go ahead and set up a campaign there are some things you should know first.

Google can stop the same ads that have the same TLD from showing in the search results. It means that if someone else is using their Facebook Page in Adwords and are bidding using the same keywords you're using, the ad with the highest Ad Rank will show only.
Some Facebook Page posts require you to login to Facebook to view them. Also, not all Internet users actually have a Facebook account. Facebook do this to get people to register to Facebook and increase their network.
You are not allowed to use the term "Facebook" in your ad campaign as it's a trademark violation. You can use the URL of course but not the term "Facebook" as your keywords as it's a registered trademark.
Facebook Pages generally have poor quality ROI compared to an actual landing page on your site which can have an effect on the quality score of your ad and end up costing more.
There are people who use Facebook just for fun and putting them back onto Facebook to answer a question or solve some problem isn't going to be their ideal place where they get those answers or solutions from.
Some important Adwords features like Conversion Tracking" are not available to you when you use a Facebook Page as the URL.

So it's not really recommended to use your Facebook Page as your landing page. It's much better to use your website instead. If you already have a website for your Fanpage, create your own landing page that converts. If you don't have one you should build one as they're not expensive these days and very easy to set up and maintain. If you don't have website, your potential customers will end up on your competitors sites instead!

Here's some more things to think about when using your Facebook Page as the Adwords landing page

It's best to promote specific posts on your Page rather than the Page homepage that answer your potential clients questions rather than making them to land on the Page homepage which will make it harder for them to seek the answers they're looking for and subsequently are likely to leave without any kind of engagement.
Promote your posts that are the top performing posts of your Page. Those that have very high quality, eye-catching images and videos in them as people are much more responsive to these types of posts over standard text only posts with dull lifeless images.
Make sure to promote posts that have clear and strong CTA's (Call to Actions) in them such as asking them to become a fan or to click the link to subscribe or make the purchase online now etc.
Ask questions in the posts you promote in Adwords. Asking questions will show your fans that you care about them and their opinions and other people will see this and be much more likelier to become a fan of that Page.
Make sure to provide alternative contact methods not just your website and email address but contact phone numbers, other social media profiles, whatsapp, skype etc etc. Remember - not all your potential clients will be using Facebook.

Make good use of Adwords "Ad Extensions" which can show links to your other business or social media profiles like Google+, Twitter or YouTube etc.
And the last tip, an all important one. Make sure your Facebook Page is viewable to the public and set to public mode. Otherwise people will have to login to Facebook to view them and again, not everyone has or wants a Facebook account.

As far as I know you can do it. Considering that so many people use Facebook it may be a good idea to try it out.

Hi sanfora thank for your good question. As per as I know there has no barrier for advertising facebook fanpage on Google adword and idealmike also explained such thing which Google term and policy said like this ''?There’s nothing in Google’s policies that is against advertising a Facebook page using AdWords''. But you have to follow some term and norms for Fanapge promotion. As per as I know they discourage to promote Fanpage rather they insist on website. Despite of if your business depend on your Fanpage you can. There has no offense mark. For good understanding everything you can go direct answer for all issues.
